It is indicated for following treatment :
- Prevention and treatment of postpartum and postabortal hemorrhage as a result of uterine atony
- Treatment of uterine subinvolution.
- Under careful obstetric supervision to shorten the third stage of labor by administration after the delivery of the anterior shoulder of the fetus.
- The diagnosis of ischemic heart disease.
